Anything with a Plug
On Saturday, March 10 from 9 AM to 1 PM at Upper Darby High School, Mayor Thomas N. Micozzie and Upper Darby Township Council are offering residents the opportunity to recycle obsolete electronics.
This free service is open to all residents of Upper Darby Township.
All hard drives will be destroyed or wiped clean by eFORCE COMPLIANCE at the certified facility located in Philadelphia.

Parenting Classes
Holcomb Behaviorol Health Systems has partnered with the Weed & Seed of Upper Darby Township, Inc to offer two interactive parenting programs.
Geared to parents with children from ages 10 to 18 years, the two classes will help parents learn skills that will:

Stranger Danger
Unfortunately, there is a threat to the children in Upper Darby. Superintendent of Police Michael Chitwood along with School Safety Chief Lou Gentile has placed a robo-call to families in the district to raise awareness about a suspect who has attempted to lure children into his car.
The suspect is a man described as a white male in his 50's, of heavy build with dark hair and some grey in it. He is possibly driving a dark green minivan, possibly a Chevy Montana.
Superintendent Chitwood reported that the first incident occurred on February 19th. He stated that several kids were playing in the alley of Highland and Derwyn when the man approached in the van and asked their names and where they lived. The second incident was on February 23rd around 5PM at Forrest and School Lane. The van, described as blue in this case, pulled up alongside a 15 year old female. When the girl looked over the man was exposed and masturbating. On March 5th, at Brookfield and Huey Avenue, a 15 year old was approached by the man in a green van, with grey interior. He got the student’s attention and was again seen exposing himself and masturbating. This morning at 6:50 in the Stonehurst section of Upper Darby a female student reported that a man fitting the same description called to her to get in the van, get in the van. The student ran.
Again it is time for us to remind our children of the need for awareness and safety. Remind them not to engage in conversation with strangers, or to go near cars. If they feel there is a danger, call 911, or run to a nearby adult and ask them to call 911.
