Upper Darby Community Day

When Councilman Nate Goodson originally had the concept of an African American Pride Celebration, it was to acknowledge the month of February as the official African American History month.  Now that Upper Darby has become so diverse that you can "travel the world without leaving Upper Darby*" Councilman Goodson's celebration is now a Community Day.  This offers an opportunity for the community to celebrate all cultures and bring the community together.

This year, Councilman Goodson is partnering with the Multicultural Community Family Services to better serve the rich diversity in the community.

Lori Wilson of NBC 10 will serve as the Mistress of Ceremonies, leading a day full of  food, fun, health exhibits, activities for kids and a performance from Philadanco.

The event will be held Saturday, February 18th, 2012 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at The Beverly Hills Middle School.  For additional information or to donate time or items,  please contact Dea Jackson at 610-653-8845 or Chrisheena Boyd at 610-724-0984
